After you’ve caught your breath after seeing the spectacular Hudson Valley views from a Glenmere terrace, you might want to hit the slopes, greens and trails that surround the countryside for another heart racing activity.


Heritage Trail

An 11.5 mile 10 foot wide rail trail located on the right of way of the abandoned Erie Railroad, the trail surface is asphalt and crushed stone, good for walking, running and inline skating. A bike rental shop is located in Goshen which also has a variety of bike routes available. (www.joefixits.com) Travel time 10 minutes.


The Gold Club at Mansion Ridge

A semi-private Jack Nicklaus signature course and clubhouse featuring a golf shop, locker rooms, full service bar, and a complete practice facility with driving range, chipping area and putting green. Travel time about 18 minutes from Glenmere.

Bear Mountain State Park

Over 5,000 acres offering biking, hiking boating, picnic areas, swimming, fishing, cross-country skiing, sledding and ice skating. Several facilities include Perkins Memorial Tower, the Trailside Museum and Zoo. Approximately 25 minutes from Glenmere Mansion.

Harriman State Park

At 46,613 acres, Harriman State Park is the second largest in NY State with 200 miles of hiking trails, 31 lakes, streams, public camping and vistas.
